Pendragon in drive for service sales

Posted on April 27th, 2008 by In51der in Blog, Car Dealers

Andrew leach writes in todays Mail on Sunday Finance section about Pendragon’s drive for service sales…
Pendragon, Britain’s biggest motor dealer, is set to take advantage of its nationally branded Evans Halshaw volume car business for the first time by offering buyers of used vehicles a two-year MOT and service package for £234.
From next month, Evans Halshaw customers who buy a car more than 30 months old can buy the package offering two inspections, two services and two MOT’s at any Evans Halshaw oulet
Pendragon believes the offer is highly competitive, but analysts suggested the group was still likely to make a healthy profit margin on the price.
Pendragon, under chief executive Trevor Finn, has been a major consolidator in the sector, buying up smaller rivals and rebranding them.
