Jaguar is the surprise winner in this year’s Driver Power survey carried out by car magazine Auto Express. The firm’s British built XF has scooped the overall number one spot in its debut year, seeing off the challenge from Skoda’s top value Superb, and last year’s winner, the Octavia. In the end it was the Jaguar’s alluring combination of luxury, comfort and driving dynamics that secured the victory in the motoring community’s top driver satisfaction poll. Full story…

I can’t decide whether the XF is a big Mondeo or an ugly Lexus. It is surely the biggest mistake of car for a long time. The dashboard is trying to be something it isn’t, the seats look like they’re from a 1995 Scorpio and the car has a all the personality of a grey cloud.
There are a selection people that don’t agree with me but I feel this time next year this car will have dramatically failed the test of time and in 2012 you will be able to turn up at the Olympics in £3k’s worth of XF.

Interesting,i bet you are a guy who loves the classic jags ‘e’ type etc and cant let go of the past!,the XF may not be as stylishly finished but its a great looking car and turns the heads whereever i go!!

No hate old cars! I think the XF looked old fasioned the day it was released, just my personal opinion Sorry!

very true, it will be interesting to see how the new XJ fairs, I’ve seen 2005 350’s for £5000-£6000, the new model is going to make these even cheaper..

Fair point, but then lots of jags seem very cheap after a few years, you see the old boys at the golf club with personal plates who do no miles looking like they have a nice bit of flash for not much money!!

Yep, usually in ‘old man red’ with wee splashed beige tweed seats
