It seems like business is still getting hit hard. Is anybody seeing an upswing in their respective niches? Health reform seems like a mess. I generate long term care insurance leads and annuity leads for the insurance industry, but volume has been terrible in the last two months. I am afraid the worst is yet to come, but maybe it is just my attitude.

i think good independant dealers do a better job of making sure customers get the right car, they generally sell all makes so dont have to push a customer into the wrong car,he doesnt mind what they buy as long as they buy!! you only have to look at the internet on autotrader to see how good the non main dealer websites and operations are.these are usually manned with staff who got dis-illusioned working for big companies and being slaves to manufacturers and figured they could do a better job themselves, like i say if you get a good one and believe me there are some really good operators out there, why bother about buying from lazy franchised dealers,at least the people selling you cars at independant dealers are using their own money so if they have bought a car you can be sure they believe in it enough to think they can make a profit!!

These kind of salespersons are a dying breed (or should be) but lets be honest here, Main Agent training has now got to the point where a Salesperson must try to close a sale no matter what, targets need to be met, turnover is paramount, and thats before the add on packages are sold (where the Dealer makes his money) You may not like the independents with their less shiny showrooms and older vehicles but you are far more likely to be left alone to think and make your mind up without the pressure. If you want to buy new do the homework, alot of consumers are just lazy and actually like to be guided like sheep through the process, its not rocket science to buy a new car, just know what you want. and if you dont what are you doing signing on the dotted line anyway?
