VW Tiguan – The People’s Reviewer – Week two – update

Posted on July 21st, 2009 by In51der in Blog, Competition, Manufacturers

Congratulations to Eric, the people’s reviewer winner from Heat 1 who is now through to the final. Fresh from their Tiguan adventures the second three reviewers are ready for judging so here are the latest clutch of budding Clarkson’s vying to join Eric in the final.

Patrick Molyneux is a 46 year old wannabe axeman from Gloucestershire and describes himself as a car buff, having owned everything from a Morris Minor to a Porsche. Patrick’s taking the Tiguan, his three kids, his wife, the dog, a tent and a BBQ grill down to Swanage for a camping trip. Do you reckon Patrick has was it takes to be the people’s reviewer?

Next up is Di Coke who sounds like a sugar free drink made from vegetable extract but is, in fact, a 35 year old freelance graphic designer from Nottingham. She and her husband are expecting their first child so we hope the Tiguan doesn’t give her a bumpy ride. Di takes the Tiguan from the Midlands to the Welsh Coast and back again, turning it into a mobile disco at one point. Does Di have the moves to become the People’s Reviewer?

Finally this week it’s Johnny Hindle a 41 year old company director from Dorset. You’ll often find Johnny walking his two dogs Poppy and Peggy, but he also loved being behind the wheel of one particular Volkswagen – the 1970 camper that was in his family for 30 years. “I want to revisit a lot of the places I went when I still had my VW camper van,” he says. But he’s also got a more demanding task for the Tiguan in mind. Can he pull it off and become the People’s Reviewer?
